Receipt email

Send customers a payment receipt by email after their appointment is marked as complete.

Last updated September 27, 2026

Overview

The receipt email lets you send customers a record of what they paid after their appointment. Unlike the confirmation and reminder emails, the receipt is not sent automatically — you trigger it manually when you're ready.

When to send a receipt

Send a receipt after you've marked a booking as complete and confirmed the final amount charged. It's particularly useful for:

  • •Customers who paid by card and want a record
  • •Businesses that need to provide receipts for tax or insurance purposes
  • •Building trust and professionalism with your customers

How to send a receipt

  1. 1.Open the completed booking from the Bookings page.
  2. 2.Click Send receipt.
  3. 3.Confirm or update the customer's email address in the dialog.
  4. 4.Click Send.

The customer receives the receipt immediately. The booking record updates to show the date and email address the receipt was sent to.

What the receipt contains

  • •Your business name and logo
  • •The customer's name
  • •Service name and duration
  • •Staff member
  • •Appointment date and time
  • •Amount paid
  • •Payment method

Which plan is required?

Receipts are available on all plans, including Free, as long as the customer has an email address on record.

Can I resend a receipt?

Yes — you can send a receipt more than once. Open the booking and click Send receipt again to issue a new copy to the same or a different email address.

Tip: If a customer asks for a receipt after the appointment and you didn't save their email when booking, open the booking, add their email in the customer details, save, then send the receipt.
