BookerBat automatically sends emails (and optionally SMS) to customers at key moments in their booking journey. This article gives you a quick reference of every notification, when it's sent, and which plan it requires.
| Notification | When it's sent | Plan required | |---|---|---| | Booking confirmation email | Immediately after a booking is confirmed | All plans | | OTP verification code (email) | During booking, before confirmation | Starter & Pro | | OTP verification code (SMS) | During booking, before confirmation | Pro + SMS add-on | | Appointment reminder email | Before the appointment (automated) | Starter & Pro | | Receipt email | After you mark a booking complete and click Send | All plans |
Yes — all emails come from BookerBat's sending system but are addressed with your business name in the sender display name, so customers see them as coming from you.
At this time, email content uses BookerBat's standard templates. They include your business name, logo (Pro plan), service details, date, time, and staff member. Custom template editing is on our product roadmap.
Tip: Make sure customers provide their email address when booking if you want them to receive any notifications. Email is optional in the booking flow by default, but you can make it required by enabling OTP verification — which requires a valid email to complete the booking.
