Overview

If a customer needs a refund, you can process it directly from the booking record. BookerBat supports two types of refund — automatic Stripe refunds for online card payments, and manual refunds for cash or in-store payments.

Issuing a Stripe refund (online card payments)

  1. 1.Open the booking from the Bookings page.
  2. 2.Go to the Payment tab.
  3. 3.Click Issue refund.
  4. 4.Enter the refund amount (you can do a partial refund).
  5. 5.Click Confirm refund.

The refund is processed through Stripe and sent back to the customer's card. Depending on the card provider, it typically takes 5–10 business days to appear.

Recording a manual refund (cash or in-store)

If you refunded a customer in cash or by another method outside of Stripe:

  1. 1.Open the booking from the Bookings page.
  2. 2.Go to the Payment tab.
  3. 3.Click Issue refund and select Manual refund.
  4. 4.Enter the amount and click Confirm.

This records the refund in BookerBat without processing anything through Stripe — useful for keeping your records accurate.

Tip: Partial refunds are supported. If a customer paid for two services but one was cancelled, you can refund only the amount for the cancelled service.
