Business holidays

Block out public holidays, annual leave, or any other day your business is fully closed so customers can't book on those dates.

Overview

Business holidays let you close your entire business on specific dates — no bookings will be available for any staff member on a holiday date. This is the right tool for public holidays, annual shutdowns, or any day the whole business is closed.

Adding a business holiday

  1. 1.Go to Dashboard → Settings and scroll to Business Holidays.
  2. 2.Click Add holiday.
  3. 3.Enter a name for the holiday (e.g. Christmas Day, Annual Shutdown).
  4. 4.Select the date or date range.
  5. 5.Click Save.

No booking slots will be shown on that date. Existing bookings already on that date are not automatically cancelled — you'll need to handle those manually if needed.

Adding multiple holidays at once

You can add a date range to cover a block of consecutive closed days — for example an entire week of annual leave. Set the start and end date when creating the holiday entry.

Overriding a holiday

If you decide to open on a day you previously marked as a holiday:

  1. 1.In the Business Holidays section, find the holiday.
  2. 2.Click Override to mark that specific date as open.
  3. 3.Click Save.

The override makes that date available for bookings again without removing the holiday entry entirely.

Removing a holiday

  1. 1.In the Business Holidays section, find the entry.
  2. 2.Click Delete.
Tip: For individual staff members taking time off while the rest of the business remains open, use Staff Leave on the employee's profile instead of a business holiday. Business holidays close the whole business; staff leave only affects one person.
