Overview

Different businesses (and countries) use different financial year periods. BookerBat lets you set the month your financial year starts so that revenue summaries and period comparisons in Analytics match your own accounting setup.

Setting your financial year start month

  1. 1.Go to Dashboard → Settings and scroll to Financial Year.
  2. 2.Select the month your financial year starts from the dropdown (e.g. July for an Australian financial year, January for a calendar year).
  3. 3.Click Save changes.

Where this is used

Your financial year start month affects the Analytics dashboard — specifically the This financial year period filter, which shows revenue, bookings, and other metrics from your FY start month to today.

Common financial year periods by region

  • •Australia & New Zealand: 1 July – 30 June → set start month to July
  • •United Kingdom: 6 April – 5 April → set start month to April
  • •United States & Canada: 1 January – 31 December → set start month to January (calendar year)
  • •Singapore: 1 April – 31 March → set start month to April
Tip: If you're unsure which month to use, ask your accountant. Using the wrong start month means your year-to-date figures in Analytics won't match your tax records.
